Product Setup

Unpack and Position Your Printer

Remove all protective materials and packaging from your HP DeskJet 4252e. Place the printer on a flat, stable surface near your WiFi router for optimal wireless connectivity. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device.

Install HP 67 or 67XL Cartridges

Open the cartridge access area and rotate each cartridge so the taller end aligns with the slot. Insert cartridges and click into place until they lock securely. Replace any cartridge showing an E0 error code with a new one.

Connect via WiFi Network

Press the wireless button on the printer until the WiFi light begins blinking. Use the HP Smart app or your device's WiFi settings to connect to your printer's network. Note: Do not use USB for initial setup; a label covers the USB port to encourage wireless connection.

Load Paper and Test Print

Fill the input tray with standard letter-size paper. Open the HP Smart app and send a test page to your printer to verify successful setup and proper cartridge installation.

Pro-Tip: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

Wireless Network Setup

Press the wireless button on your 4252e to activate pairing mode. Connect from your computer or mobile device using the printer's WiFi network name. This method is recommended for all initial setup and daily printing tasks.
