Printer Not Connecting to WiFiexpand_more
Verify the wireless router is powered on and the printer Wireless button light shows steady blue. Check the Signal Bars icon on the control panel display—if only 1-2 bars show, the signal is weak. Move the printer closer to the router (within 30m). Press Wireless + Information buttons together to print the Wireless Network Test Report and verify connection status. Restore network settings by pressing Wireless + Cancel together for 3 seconds, then reconnect using HP Smart.
Paper Jam Issuesexpand_more
Check the input tray first by lifting the tray shield and using a flashlight to locate jammed paper. Remove all loose and jammed paper gently with both hands. Check the output tray, cartridge access area, and cleanout door on the printer bottom. After clearing jams from all areas, press Cancel button to allow automatic jam clearing. Avoid paper jams by not overfilling the input tray, removing printed papers frequently, and ensuring the paper-width guide fits snugly against all paper.
Poor Print Qualityexpand_more
Use original HP 67/67XL cartridges for best results. Check that you selected the correct paper type in printer settings (use high-quality HP paper or ColorLok certified paper). Load flat, unused white paper and print a diagnostics page to check for missing or faded color blocks. If defects appear, clean the cartridges using the printer toolbox (Print & Scan > Maintain Your Printer > Clean Cartridges). Align the cartridges using the Align Cartridges tool for improved print quality.
Cartridge Error Messagesexpand_more
Remove the cartridge indicated in the error message and check that all plastic protective tape is completely removed. Wipe only the gold-colored electrical contacts on the cartridge and the printer contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth. Reinstall the cartridge and close the cartridge access door. If the error persists, turn the printer off and on again. If using counterfeit or previously used cartridges, replace with genuine HP 67/67XL cartridges. For persistent errors, clean cartridge contacts thoroughly following the detailed cleaning procedure in the manual.
Cannot Print Documentsexpand_more
Verify the printer is powered on and paper is loaded in the input tray. Check HP Smart app for error messages and follow onscreen instructions. Verify wireless connection is working (light next to Wireless button should be steady blue). Ensure the printer is not paused or offline by checking Devices and Printers settings. Verify the printer is set as the default printer. Restart the print spooler through Windows Services or System Preferences. Clear the print queue and restart your computer if necessary. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor utility (Windows) to automatically diagnose and fix issues.
