Important Safety Instructions
- Always turn off the printer using the Power button and wait for internal sounds to stop before unplugging to protect cartridges from drying out
- Keep replacement HP 65 and HP 65XL cartridges in original sealed packaging at room temperature (15-35°C / 59-95°F) until needed
- Clean cartridge contacts only with dry, lint-free cloth if error messages appear; do not leave cartridges outside the printer longer than 30 minutes
- Avoid unnecessary printhead cleaning as it wastes ink; only clean when print quality noticeably deteriorates
- Check ink levels regularly through HP Smart app or printer software; replace cartridges when print quality becomes unacceptable, not just when low-ink warnings appear
- Remove printed papers from output tray frequently and never overfill the input tray to prevent paper jams
