Poor Print Quality or Streaky Outputexpand_more
First, verify you are using original HP 65 or 65XL ink cartridges and check ink levels in the printer software. Select the correct paper type and print quality settings. Align the ink cartridges using the printer software (Windows: Maintain Your Printer > Align Ink Cartridges). If quality remains poor, clean the cartridges using the software (Maintain Your Printer > Clean Ink Cartridges). Use high-quality HP paper with ColorLok technology for best results.
Printer Not Printing or Not Respondingexpand_more
Verify the printer is powered on and paper is loaded in the input tray. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable (if wired) or confirm wireless connection is active. Check that the printer is not set to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline in Windows Devices and Printers. Make sure it is set as the default printer. Restart the print spooler service and clear the print queue. If still unresponsive, restart the computer and printer.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Always turn off the printer using the Power button and wait for the light to go out to protect cartridges from drying out
  • Do not remove plastic tape from HP 65/65XL cartridges until ready to install them; tape reduces ink evaporation
  • Align cartridges regularly from the printer software to maintain print quality
  • Clean cartridge contacts only when errors occur; excessive cleaning wastes ink and shortens printhead life
  • Load only one paper type and size at a time; ensure paper is flat and edges are not bent or torn
  • Remove printed papers from the output tray frequently to prevent jams
