Product Setup
Unpack and Position Your Printer
Remove all packaging materials and place the HP DeskJet 3633 on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the printer for proper cooling during operation.
Load Paper and Install Cartridges
Raise the input tray and load plain paper with the print side facing up. Install HP 65 or HP 65XL black and tri-color ink cartridges into the cartridge access door, ensuring they snap securely into place. Remove all protective plastic tape before installation.
Connect Power and Turn On
Plug the power cord into a functioning outlet and press the Power button on the control panel. The printer will initialize and the Power button light will turn on, indicating the printer is ready for setup.
Install Printer Software
Visit 123.hp.com to download and install the HP printer software on your computer. During installation, you may be prompted to connect via USB cable temporarily. Once software is installed, choose your preferred connection method: wireless, Wi-Fi Direct, or USB.
Pro-Tip: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
WiFi Connection Guide
Connect via Wireless Network
Connect your printer to an existing 2.4GHz wireless network using WPS push-button method or by entering your network credentials through the HP printer software. The Wireless light will remain solid blue when successfully connected.
