1

Install Setup Cartridges

When first setting up your HP DeskJet 3526, you must install the SETUP cartridges that shipped with the printer. These cartridges calibrate your printer before the first print job. Do not open or uncap cartridges until ready to install, and keep the orange caps on to reduce ink evaporation.

2

Load Paper into Input Tray

Insert letter or A4 plain white paper into the input tray. Ensure paper lays flat with edges not bent or torn. Adjust the paper-width guide to fit snugly against the paper without bending it. Do not overfill the tray or force paper too far forward.

3

Connect USB Cable

HP recommends using a USB cable that is 3 meters (10 feet) or less in length to minimize injected noise. Connect the cable to your computer and the printer, then turn on the printer to complete the initial setup process.
