The HP DeskJet 3515 is a compact color inkjet all-in-one printer designed for home and small office use. This guide covers essential setup, troubleshooting print quality issues, clearing paper jams, and maintaining your printer with genuine HP 65 and HP 65XL cartridges.
Product Setup
Unpack and Position Printer
Remove the HP DeskJet 3515 from packaging and place it on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device for proper cooling and paper feeding.
Install HP 65 or 65XL Cartridges
Open the cartridge access door and wait for the print carriage to move to the center. Insert the black and color cartridges by sliding them into their slots until they click into place, then close the door.
Load Paper and Align Cartridges
Load letter or A4 plain white paper into the input tray. Access the Printer Toolbox via Print & Scan > Maintain Your Printer, then select Align Ink Cartridges. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.
Install Printer Software
Install the HP DeskJet 3510 series printer software from the included disc or download it from HP's website. This software provides access to print settings, maintenance tools, and ink level monitoring.
Pro-Tip: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
WiFi Connection Guide
USB Connection Setup
Connect your HP DeskJet 3515 to your computer using a USB cable of 3 meters or less to minimize noise interference. HP recommends this method for stable, consistent connectivity.
