1

Unbox and Prepare Your Printer

Remove all protective materials and tape from the printer. Note that the USB port is labeled to encourage wireless connection setup. You can still use a USB cable for printing if needed, but WiFi is the recommended connection method.

2

Install HP 65 or 65XL Cartridges

Open the cartridge access area and insert the black and color cartridges. Rotate each cartridge so the taller end aligns with the slot, then push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure cartridges are properly seated before closing the access door.

3

Connect to Power and WiFi

Plug in the printer and wait for it to fully initialize. Press the Wireless button to connect to your WiFi network. The wireless light will indicate connection status—a steady light means you're connected and ready to print.

4

Install Printer Software

Download the latest HP printer software for your operating system from HP's website or use the included installation disc. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation and configure your printer preferences.
