Check ink levels from the printer control panel or HP printer software. If one cartridge is missing or improperly installed, remove it and verify no plastic tape remains on the cartridge contacts. Verify the printer is powered on and paper is loaded in the input tray. For USB connections, disconnect and reconnect the cable. For wireless, confirm the Wireless light is on and the signal bars show a connection. Check Device and Printers settings to ensure the printer is not paused or offline. If using Windows, restart the Print Spooler service or clear the print queue if documents are stuck.
Poor Print Quality or Faded Colorsexpand_more
Use high-quality HP paper or ColorLok-certified paper for best results. Verify you selected the correct paper type in printer software. Check ink levels and consider replacing low cartridges. Run the Align Cartridges utility from the printer toolbox and print a diagnostic page. If the diagnostic shows streaks or missing colors, use the Clean Cartridges function from the Device Services tab. Ensure paper is flat and stored in a cool, dry place.
Wireless Connection Lost or Not Availableexpand_more
Verify your wireless router is powered on and within range. Press the Wireless button and Information button together to print the wireless network test report for diagnostic details. Move the printer closer to the router to improve signal strength. Check that the Wireless light is on and not blinking in error state.
