The HP DeskJet 3733 is a compact all-in-one printer offering print, copy, and scan capabilities with reliable color inkjet output. This comprehensive guide covers initial setup, wireless connectivity options, cartridge replacement, and step-by-step troubleshooting for common issues.
Product Setup
Load Paper into Input Tray
Raise the input tray and insert a stack of paper with the short edge down and print side up. Slide the paper-width guide to fit snugly against the edge of the paper until it stops.
Install HP 65 or 65XL Cartridges
Open the cartridge access door and wait for the print carriage to center. Remove plastic tape from new cartridges, insert them at a slight upward angle into their color-matched slots, and push until they click into place.
Configure Wireless Connection
Press the Wireless button on the control panel to enable wireless capabilities. Open the embedded web server (EWS) by entering the printer's IP address in your browser to complete network setup and select paper size preferences.
Install HP Printer Software
Download and install the HP printer software from the HP website. On Windows 10, access it via Start > All apps > HP. Use the software to check ink levels, adjust print quality settings, and maintain your printer.
Pro-Tip: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
WiFi Connection Guide
Connect via Wireless Router
Press the Wireless button on the control panel. The printer will search for available networks. Select your network from the embedded web server and enter your Wi-Fi password to establish a connection.
Connect via Wi-Fi Direct
